Absolutely! There are a variety of things we can use to help your children feel more calm and confident about their exams or school stress.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or Tapping) is a simple and effective approach where I teach your child how to gently tap on acupressure points to relieve tension and strong emotions like anxiety associated with taking exams. There is also Brain Gym, a series of simple movements I can teach them to enhance their ability to use both their right and left brain to solve problems and write essays.
Taking time to feel less emotionally and physically “charged up”, will clear the way for a more positive attitude towards themselves and their abilities.
Another way we can clear this physical and emotional energy is with Craniosacral Therapy. This is a gentle technique that can balance your child's Central nervous system, to slow down rapid heart and breathing rates, and allow for stress chemicals (adrenaline and cortisol) to drop. Once their system has slowed down and regulated, it will allow them a fresh start; making it easier to concentrate when studying and to relax into a good night’s sleep. Rest is so key to proper brain function and learning.
